Genesee Valley Park Engagement Photography ~ Beth and Mike
Beth and Mike weren’t 100% sold on the idea of an engagement session, but decided on it anyway. I thought this might mean they’d be uncomfortable during the session (something that’s totally normal), but Mike didn’t strike me as someone who really gets uncomfortable, and I mean that in the best possible way.
Like he could probably make a root canal fun. In fact, images are almost never blurry from camera shake but I was laughing so hard I had a few extra duds when I got home.
Mike and Beth planned their September wedding at Webster Golf Club, which was a wise move this particular year because the summer was one of the hottest on record. They actually moved their session once because of the heat and the following week wasn’t too much better. We were all dripping by the end – but at least we had a great time (thanks Mike!).
Genesee Valley Park is a really fantastic photography location. If you’re looking for some ideas regarding where to have your engagement session, click here for a post about how to choose a great location.
So why would you want to bother with an engagement session when you’re already stressed planning your wedding? There are a few reasons, but of course, in the end it’s totally up to you.
1. It’s a great opportunity to get to know your photographer.
2. It’s a great chance to get more comfortable in front of the camera.
3. Engagement photos make amazing save the date cards and can be used throughout your wedding preparations.
4. It’s not every day that you have a reason to have professional photos taken of just you and your love. You’ll treasure them forever, I promise.
Thank you so much Mike and Beth for choosing me as your wedding photographer!
